With the 2012 French Open now in full swing, the time couldn’t be any better to preview this returning Nike Tennis Classic. Worn by the fiery John McEnroe in 1984, the Challenge Court is a vintage silhouette that features a court-ready leather and mesh build, complete with a padded collar for extra protection. This particular pair, similar to the original, sports a clean Summit White base with navy and red accents throughout.

In what is sure to be a sought after release, a collaboration between Cole Haan and Hiroshi Fujiwara’s fragment design was announced earlier today.

Following the well-received releases of the Cole Haan LunarGrand Wingtip and LunarGrand Chukka, it will be interesting to see what spin fragment brings to the table. Will they utilize an existing LunarGrand model, or will they debut a whole new design? 

The Cole Haan x fragment design collaboration will launch at Dover Street Market Ginza on July 27. Stay tuned to Sole Collector for further details.

Famously worn by the “Round Mound of Rebound” as he led the original Dream Team in scoring during their 1992 Gold Medal run in Barcelona, the USA Basketball colorway of the classic Nike Air Force 180 is set to return to retail this summer. The white-based mid-top is accented by a heavy amount of Midnight Navy. with red and metallic gold tastefully added in areas throughout. Capping off the look below is a 180-Max air bag and partially translucent rubber outsole.

Targeting for a July release, the USAB Air Force 180 can be pre-ordered at End Clothing next month.

With the June release pretty much looking like it’s a go, we’re finally starting to see the Nike Air Yeezy 2 make the celebrity Twitter rounds. Several sneaker personalities shared their latest pickups today, showcasing the highly anticipated sequel in both the Black/Solar Red and Wolf Grey/Pure Platinum colorways. Additionally, Nike Stadium Paris sent out a photo and let customers know that both colorways would be dropping soon.

First seen in the “Excellent Makers” series earlier this year, New Balance provides a closer look at the “Cutting Room” pack, a trio of Made In England 576 runners celebrating 30 years of manufacturing in the UK.

The three colorways honor the Flimby factory’s three most senior craftsmen: Andy Mandle, Roy Bell and Billy Edgar.

Expected to release later this year, Nike Sportswear recently brought to life four vintage builds of the classic Air Max ‘87 runner.

Celebrating 25 years since the first visible Air shoe was introduced to the world, NSW will release four vintage looks for the classic runner. We’ll see tradtional looks in both the original men’s and women’s colorways, along with the original USA-inspired color scheme. A darker build will also be made available, utilzing obsidian, black and grey.

Nike Running introduces to us another innovative design with the all new Nike Free Powerlines+ currently on it’s way to retailers.

The brand new silhouette creates it’s look with a full mesh build, leather overlays and a unique lacing system that helps earn them the “Powerlines” label. Midnight fog handles most of the upper, while a smooth shade of blue accents on the laces, liner and Nike branding. A grey-splattered off-white Free sole completes the look down below.
